There's something poetic about opening a roadhouse-style bar in Park Slope, as if it's a statement against the neighborhood's sometimes overwhelming perfectness. But John Bush, David Massoni, and Dale Talde, the owners of the much-loved Talde, aren't here for irony, they just wanted to make a comfortable beer, whiskey, and barbecue joint that reminded them of their favorite bars from their salad days (expect a certain Max Fish vibe). They're adamant that prices will stay low (a twenty will get you far) and that food will be unfussy and satisfying (the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches are amazing). Say hi to the big stuffed boar's head on the wall. If it says hi back, go home.
