Bacaros are to Venice what pinxtos are to Barcelona and we warmly welcome Polpo, new Bacaro wine bar here in London. Head chef Tom Olroyd has prepared mouth-watering panoply of Italian morsels to nibble on in a charming Soho setting. Carefully created to be light enough to accompany some great wine tasting, this Italian tapas-style concept pulls out all the stops. Exposed brickwork, tin covered ceiling and extremely low-watt lighting makes for intimate and cosy atmosphere, but you may need to take your glasses to read menu. Aim for 3 savoury dishes per person (don't miss out on the slow-cooked pork belly or the polpete mega-meatballs) and a jug of fine Italian wine.
