Philippe

Editorial Review

Chinese as high-end dining isn't really an L.A. thing. Perhaps Philippe Chow can change that. In the old Dolce space, so scenesters and expense accounts are essentially built-in. Right there next to the bar, and again in the private wine cellar dining room. Lots of red against black and white background (Asian moderne, or some such). Pricey versions of gwai-lo favorites: shiu mai, satay, lettuce wraps, salt and pepper calamari.
