Our Place Shanghai Tea Garden

Editorial Review

Let yourself get shanghaied by the complex flavors of this midtown fan fave. Menu is extensive, covering both the expected and the authentic. Start off with soup dumplings, or duck sautéed with pine nuts and served in a lettuce leaf. Follow with spicy beancurd and shredded pork, or Szechuan chicken on spinach and walnuts. Comfy, orange-walled space a little corporate, but not too formal. Cheap lunch specials a boon to the non-leisure classes we've read so much about.
