One Girl Cookies

Editorial Review

Renovated townhouse charmingly decorated with pastel colors, patterned wallpaper, and vintage photographs. Former Barneys manager and co-owner did the place proud. Family tree linking husband and wife owners almost as sweet as the goods themselves. Mini cookies with names like Sadie (orange-flavored butter cookie) and Lana (chocolate with raspberry jam) so precious you almost feel bad eating them. Brownies, layer cakes, gelato. Sugary standout is the whoopie pie—in chocolate and pumpkin varieties. Points scored for java innovation: frozen coffee "ice-cubes" heroically prevent watery iced lattes.
