Music Hall of Williamsburg

Editorial Review

Northsix reborn, all spruced up, with annoying columns banished. Layout mirrors sibling Bowery Ballroom, with downstairs bar and upstairs balconies. Billyburg industrial aesthetic, all concrete and metal filigree. Curved surfaces make for excellent sound, raised platforms on the sides make life easier for the height-challenged. Patti Smith inaugurated the space in ought-seven, giving way to the likes of Super Furry Animals, Jonathan Richman, Meshell Ndegeocello.
