New York » Bar » Midtown Manhattan » Lounge
Former District space re-opened as pre-theater wine and cocktail joint. New interior is like a wine library, all decked in dark woods and brown leather banquettes. Wall of wines and marble bar suggest twin-pronged strategy: fine varietals and fastidious cocktails paired with new American fare. Kitchen kicks out bar bites like cheese plates, charcuterie, and truffles, along with larger plates like grilled artisanal cheese sandwiches, and saffron chicken with Israeli couscous. Not exactly a buzzing scene, but classy spot to bring the ‘rents before hitting Mamma Mia!
