It’s not exactly Xanadu outside, but this gorgeously renovated space feels every bit like a stately pleasure dome for foodies, design geeks and pour over coffee purists. The blackboard menu features fruity, eggy breakfast fare without the grease, and afternoon standouts include traditional Ploughman’s, Carnivore and Picnic boards packed with cheeses, charcuterie, with plenty for sharing. Finish it off with brownies and other baked and sugar-dusted delights, and if you ask nicely, they might let you tag your own drawer in the antique cabinet the regulars use to leave old-school analog messages and secret treasures for each other.
