Magnolia Bakery

Editorial Review

There was one bakery that had the power to save cupcakes from becoming completely passé in 2011, and it arrived just in time at Block 37. Expect lines out the door like any cupcake shop worth its buttercream frosting, but at this New York import, it’s worth it. From mini-cheesecakes to the famous banana pudding to rich chocolate brownies and icebox cakes (whipped cream and chocolate wafer layers), the selection of sweets at this vintage Americana-style bakeshop could give us a sugar  high just looking at the expansive display case.
