Lievito Pizzeria

Editorial Review

Bergamo-based restaurant brings some authentic I-Tie to the WVill. Name is Italian for yeast, pies are long-fermented and finished in a Renato wood-fired oven. Balance of the menu stays ambitious, like tuna carpaccio with cheese mousse, pizza salad with watercress and candied tomatoes. Whitewashed old-world storefront with sidewalk dining leads to warm brick and earth tone interior. Artful wine bottle storage in backlit cutouts, windowed kitchen for catching all the action.
