Le Monde

Editorial Review

Loire Valley outpost from the French Roast/Nice Matin crew. Great sidewalk scene in the warmer months, big, versatile room stays cozy for the winter. Order off the mirrors for classics like moules frites, steak frites, coquilles St. Jacques, confit de canard. Loire-heavy wine list too, hit up some of that Charles Jouget Chinon. Bougie and proud of it, attracts solidly Morningside crowd. Back bar an excellent place to eavesdrop on backstabbing departmental gossip. Roar, lion, roar!
