Les Mars Hotel lays claim to being the most elegant place to stay in Healdsburg. The lobby feels as if it were brought over piece-by-piece from Europe (it wasn't -- and the building, despite its old-world air, is only a few years old) and boasts a formal sitting room and library. There are flowers at every turn, including long stemmed roses in-room, and king-size four posters you sink right into, as well as antique furnishings from the 17th and 18th century in many rooms. If you're doing Sonoma in style, this is the place to stay.
