Another in a string of restaurants by Steve Arroyo monopolizing the corner of Beverly and Stanley, this taqueria is an expanded version of his original Escuela. In a casual setting with colorful wooden shoes hanging from the ceiling, you can enjoy the same "chewy" chips, plus a taco list that runs the gamut from roasted poblano chile and jack cheese to pork belly, or even lobster served with chipoltle crema. One stop here and you'll be hard pressed to declare a cap on the city's taco joints.
