Casual brasserie spawned from Soho’s Jean Claude, adding Roman numerals and a bit more formality. Comfy space, bright color blocks on the walls and a vintage “Martini” mural over the bar. Classic French fare without the pretension. All entrées moderately priced; skate, mussels, and honey lime glazed duck stand out. Hangar steak sandwiches for brunch, chocolate mousse and crème brûlée to finish. Wine list sufficient, not overwhelming.
