Fornino

Editorial Review

Fights it out with Roberta's for the best pizza in the hood. On a good night at the wood-burning oven, the Margarita pies can compete for the best in the city. Chef Michael Ayoub grows herbs in the sweet back garden, drops them on crisp-crusted, lightly charred beauties. Beyond Neapolitan basics, serves sophisto-za like tartufo with black winter truffles, or spinach with ricotta, pecorino, pine nuts, and white truffle oil. Small, busy space keeps it simple with white tile and exposed brick. Hit or miss service hardly unique for Bedford.
