The new kid in town when it comes to clubs. Less haughty, less velvet-roped, more comfortable and interesting than other Main Street shindiggeries, which means Downstairs is a hot iron if ever there was one. Meaning, strike now. Motto is “music + good people = Downstairs,” and while the rhetoric could use a little work, the idea is right on. Just opened, so the scene is still in utero, but based on early signs and location (Main, by Heber—Old Town meets New School) expect genuinely cool locals alongside tipsy out-of-towners, especially if Downstairs can keep up the trend of involving quality DJs like Momjeans in the mix. Vibe unclear, but looks to be somewhere between Ski Party and After Party; goggle-tans meet spray-on.
