Deuxave

Editorial Review

At the tony intersection of Commonwealth and Massachusetts Avenues, this stylish Back Bay restaurant is not only heavy on aesthetic spectacle, but also turns its nose up at all that twee farm-to-table menu simplicity. A fireplace, exposed brick, and spectacular bay windows convey a jot of new England charm, but the space is otherwise sleek and industrial. Dishes like Moroccan-spiced lamb and lobster gnocchi are given rather fanciful reinventions, and the bar, surprisingly, is heavy on Belgian brews.
