Better known for their work on the New Museum, Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of Tokyo architecture firm Sanaa were comissioned for Derek Lam's first brick-and-mortar boutique. Having been friends with Lam for years (Kazuyo was one of Lam's first customers), the duo knew the designer's aesthetic well. The 2,800-square-foot boutique features four transparent curved walls, which display the full range of Lam products.
