Gorgeously designed to show off its serpentine curves and 110-year-old bones, undulating marble, antique glass, and vintage tile. The old-world dècor and trippy neon lights serve as playful macabre reminders of Blood Alley’s grisly history. Standing out on the dark-spirit forward list is the Apiary, where pieces of Maker’s Mark barrel are scorched to invite woodsmoke into the glass, then filled with bourbon, honey, black walnut bitters, and a honeycomb “lollipop” garnish. The Shallow Water dusted with Campari powder perfectly balances sweet and bitter, and the grapefruitful Wax Poetic is one of several classy tributes to comrades-in-booze near and far.
