Michael Dorf, the man behind New York’s Knitting Factory and, more recently, City Winery, is an ambitious man. The entertainment at his 300-seat winery/concert venue just doesn’t stop: Concerts range from soul singers and acoustic guitarists to legends like Suzanne Vega and Kurt Elling. Comedians occasionally pop in, and Klezmer musicians rouse the crowd every Sunday at brunch. Then there's the wine. Find over a dozen on tap, plus plenty by the glass. And if you’re so inclined, take a class and learn how to make your own by enrolling in Wine 101, which is taught in the Barrel Room. The seasonal menu includes dishes like flatbreads and cured meats, and a tasting menu is also available.
