Little beacon of light off the Morgan stop on the L, Cafe Orwell isn't trying to reinvent hospitality as we know it, and that's a good thing. Focused on the basics - great coffee and tea, Bagels that easily meet lofty NYC standards, and a selection of tasty sandwiches - it's a perfectly nice place to spend an hour sipping, munching, and reading. It's also a bit of a godsend to the countless creatives in the 'hood, who avail themselves of the wifi as they tap away on that marketing plan/listicle/great American novel.
