Each of the 50 rooms at world-renowned designer Anouska Hempel’s South Kensington hotel have been inspired by exotic lands, allowing you to choose between, say, sensuous four-posters set against trompe l’oeil walls or tented beds with a backdrop of ebony and gold. The restaurant, which adjoins the famous oriental-themed ‘opium den’, serves up wonderful Asian-fusion cuisine – honey spiced duck, wok-fried crab – to a smart boho crowd.
