Bitter Tasting Room

Editorial Review

The city’s first dedicated beer tasting room, gastropreneur Sean Heather’s latest temple of boozy worship is barely a pretzel toss away from his others in a heritage flatiron building with original tile floors and whimsical light fixtures made with keg parts. Classic “beer food” menu ranges from simple nuts, pretzels and Scotch eggs to pork rillettes, chicharrones, cassoulet, gourmet sausage and hearty Southern-style chicken and biscuit with gravy. Growlers, featured beer flights, and bottled varieties from around the world let your taste buds wander, and even the most jaded palate will be intrigued by the unique list of beer cocktails.
