Birdbath

Editorial Review

Soho oven of City Bakery's green flour movement. One-ups sibs by salvaging landmark Vesuvio Bakery, no reclaimed hemp required. Crispy pignoli cookies nod to former doughboys, maple bacon biscuits don't got time for the past. Savories stay sweet: puff pastry leek pizza, grilled-cheese English muffins, slathered in jam. House sangria jazzed with pomegranate and black pepper, not jug wine. Breakfast boozers settle for bourbon-bathed applesauce cake. Fight for one of 16 seats in an organic, sustainable manner: hair-pulling.
