20 years at Peter Luger and Arturo McLeod decided to open up shop on his own, near Grand Central. The result is a reach for classic, New York Steakhouse steeze that manages to grab some of the right notes: a spartan design scheme replete with an epic fireplace, a Rat Pack-oriented soundtrack, and legit white-napkin service. Steaks, seafood is the game here, where everything is made in man-sized portions: none of this "petite fliet" bullshit (though a burger—which they claim is the best in town—is a passable order, here).
