Preview: With Jason Pomeranc’s Thompson brand having conquered virtually every corner of America, London seemed truly inevitable for one of the prime purveyors of post-Millennial chic. Their new hotel in Blighty’s capital makes an appropriate home in trendy Belgravia, with posh Knightsbridge and Mayfair just around the corner. Interiors by venerable designer Tara Bernerd convey a mid-century cool and rooms have prodigious windows framing the surrounding views. Celeb chef and Great British Menu star Mark Hix heads up the hotel’s not-mysteriously-monikered Hix Belgravia, as well as a new outpost of his hip Soho imbibing den Mark’s Bar.
