José Andrés has a major hit with Minibar, his high-concept restaurant where people wait months for a reservation, so it makes sense to apply his inventive philosophies to cocktails. Barmini presents classic cocktails in their most modern forms. Drink guru Juan Coronado has a menu of 100 cocktails, which employ such cutting-edge ingredients and techniques as "airs," which capture aromas and flavors in bubbles, as well as emulsifiers, barrel aging, carbonation, and infusions. Funky antique glassware and bites like the Minibar Philly Cheesesteak keep things from ever getting boring. Enjoy your Mezcaleros Brew (mezcal, kina, honey syrup, Belgian triple beer, orange twist). Amazingly, drink prices range from $14 - $20, which is actually quite cheap given the artistry involved. For reservations, email barmini@minibarbyjoseandres.com. Forget about just walking in, that ain't happening.
