As long as Azuki keeps offering two glasses of wine or two mini bottles of sake for every $15 spent per person, they will be forever popular. And they are. Long lines are de rigueur, and for such a long and narrow space, you'll be surprised by the tables crammed with newly transplanted NYU girls, yapping and tapping about the night ahead. The rolls have freshness and innovation to compete with most other NY sushi joints, just don't expect trascendence. The Bento boxes delight with a generous steamed shrimp dumpling, and the Mango Tango roll is a noted fave. One more thing: the sake used to be free, and unlimited.
