Elegant, intimate upstairs palace of bartending perfection. Under no circumstances accepts loud groups—or any groups exceeding four. No loitering either. This is a sit-down only joint. Pretty much like going to yoga, except that balance is achieved not in your best downward dog but in the lychee martinis. And you leave drunk. Sumptuous snacks from attached Japanese restaurant. Slightly precious, but still one of the more elegant and romantic downtown spots to sip and chat.
