44 & X Hell's Kitchen

Editorial Review

Hella good Hell's Kitchen poshie. About as swank a spot as you'll find across the street from a gas station. Pristine, minimal white-on-white interior, surfeit of al fresco avenue seating. Numeral in the name hints at Roman-level decadence. Pre-theater and local crowd enjoying maple-glazed mahi mahi, lobster casserole, buttermilk fried chicken. Well-groomed young men taking your order look fresh from the modeling academy. Weekend brunch a big draw, too.
