In an ideal world, we’d get a new outstanding brunch spot every few months. In reality, they’re few and far between, making places like Lakeview’s 2 Sparrows a particularly notable addition to Chicago’s dining scene. Run by good friends and Trotter veterans Gregory Ellis and Steven Fladung, the intimate spot does trendy (shrimp and grits, maple and bacon doughnuts) alongside staples (eggs benedict, market quiche and granola).
