As Village addresses go, hard to find one with much more history than this one. Former home of the Gaslight Café, walls here would have a lot to say about Bob Dylan, Joey Ramone, Allen Ginsberg, etc. Joint’s trying to keep the inspiration flowing with poetry, comedy, and music at small front stage. There’s also TVs and fancy cocktails, lest you forget it’s a vastly different era. Gaslight special infuses tequila with chipotle, adds orange liqueur and honey, a combination our Beatnik forebears could scarce have imagined.
